Happy mothers day to all of our mother figures in our lives- our mothers, step-mothers, aunties, grandmas and even our older sisters!
On May 9th we hosted a FREE day out for all our mother figures within the Panama community alongside Kainga Ora, Riverside Community Centre (Te Whare Tapere o Taha Awa) Panamasians o Tuia, Panama Road School & Anglican Trust for Women Community. It was an incredibly successful day, with a breakfast menu to order, goodie bags, free plants, manicures, hair styling by our talented Sipa, printed portraits & some live entertainment!
Seeing our wahine from Panama come together to be pampered was awesome! We saw new friendships forming, shared stories and really saw our community come together to celebrate our mamas. Good Seed Trust is currently running an initiative called We Are Panama which is focused around uniting the Panama community through events & storytelling.
We want to thank our mothers for all you do. Our mothers play such a pivotal role in our community as a whole, raising our tamariki to be the best they can be, while navigating motherhood is no easy feat but you do it so gracefully.
